UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.
BIBLE TEXT: HEB. 10:19-25.
Hebrews 10:22
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
Hebrews 10:25
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
REFLECTION:
It's not every kingly throne that can be boldly approached uninvited, and certainly, one must pass the test of some rules of palace etiquettes when privileged to do so. Right from the time that Adam and Eve banged 'no through road sign on face of humanity' the question begging for an answer has been: 'How can we gain access to God?'
The Levitical law made a provision for people to gain access through the blood of bulls and goats ( Hebrews 10:4), for a certain time. Aaron had to spend hours preparing himself to meet God. But we can approach God anytime, what a privilege! When people gathered for sacrifice on the Day of Atonement, they were reminded of their sins and felt guilty all over again. Animal sacrifices could not take away sin; they provided only a temporary way to deal with sin. What they needed was forgiveness - the permanent, powerful, sin-destroying forgiveness we have from Christ. Once we have have confess our sins to Him, we need never to think of it again. He has forgiven us and it's no longer exists.
PRAYER GUIDE:
1. Appreciate the Lord for the unrestricted access you have to Him through Christ.
2. Pray that you will know Christ more and more and that your knowledge of Him will edify believes around you.
3. Ask the Lord for the Grace to avert dislocation, distractions and disconnection from God.
4. Pray that you will grow in faith and overcome all forms of doubts in your relationship with Christ.
5. Pray that the grace to encourage one another will be given to each one of us.
6. Pray that your personal access to God's throne through Christ will never be shutdown.
7. Ask for grave for all our leaders to have personal access to God's throne.
8. Pray for the Church of God, that we shall continue to enjoy the access we have in Christ.
9. Pray for your family that God's Presence will abide with them wherever they go.
10. Thank God for the peace we enjoy in the Nation.
May the Lord answer all our prayers in Jesus Mighty Name Amen 🙏.
